The Australian Community Transport Association (ACTA), the national peak body representing community transport, is proud to host The National Community Transport Conference 2024, where we will hear important updates on aged care and NDIS reforms, and enable providers to improve service delivery and contribute to shaping our future.
This year’s theme is Sustainable mobility: Navigating the Future Together, Tipping Point. The event features presentations from the Department of Health and Aged Care as well as the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority, both will provide valuable insights from a government perspective.
Sessions will also cover improving service delivery; driver safety; cyber risk and background on ACTA’s role in the Community Transport Pricing Policy pilot.
We’ll also hear from:
- Professor Adam Graycar, Emeritus Professor at the University of Adelaide
- Robert Fitzgerald AM, Age Discrimination Commissioner
- Jackie Furey, International Keynote Speaker will explore the ‘value-add’ that CT providers offer communities and how to enhance the benefits for CT users
- Karni Lidell, Disability Activist who has served on the NDIA advisory board
“Community transport delivery has reached a tipping point, and 2024 presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop ground-breaking models and policies that will build and maintain a sustainable and efficient, community transport sector of the highest quality,” says ACTA CEO, Murray Coates.
