Most of Warrigal’s service area is in regional Australia and the free event was an opportunity for families, carers and older people to see what services are available and how to access them.

Ms Hutchins said Warrigal is committed to providing a supportive environment, and the seminars are just one of the ways they help empower people with the resources and confidence to start planning what care they would like to access.

Representatives from Fiducuan Financial Services, Dementia Australia, Council on the Ageing ACT, ACT Disability, Aged and Carer Advocacy Service and the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing will attend the Canberra seminar on 26 June, and a resident will share their personal story of moving into a Warrigal home.
