Scalabrini launches home care that comes with a buddy
To reduce complexity in accessing aged care services, Scalabrini is introducing a new home care service with a single point of contact.

Not-for-profit aged care provider Scalabrini is incorporating a buddy model into its new home care service – providing a dedicated care worker that is also the single point of contact.
Live Easy Home Care by Scalabrini will combine a range of home care services, from basic daily living assistance and household management to specialised clinical support complemented by companionship and leisure activities.
The buddy becomes both case manager and carer and is able to better coordinate tailored services for the client’s needs. This commitment to communication and responsiveness to customer needs is further enabled by the 90-minute callback guarantee. The buddy also accompanies their client to any initial external service provider visits.
The initiative is designed to be flexible and adaptable to individual needs and preferences so clients can have control over their care plan and choose the services they require.
Older people can also receive help from Scalabrini to help them navigate the aged care system assessment and funding process with no obligation to then sign up for the Live Easy program. The program can also be used in conjunction with home care packages.
Scalabrini chief executive officer Richard de Haast said that the program was a natural extension of their desire to provide quality support and care in any environment.

“For those considering Live Easy for a loved one, we want them to know that the individual and their specific needs are more important to us than anything else. We will work closely with our customers to provide a level of service that surpasses all traditional home care providers and leaves them with that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when something is just right.”
