LPA appoints Galiazzo to new CEO role
Marisa Galiazzo’s appointment will boost LPA’s support to the sector during the significant home care reforms underway, says Lorraine Poulos.

Aged care consultancy and training organisation Lorraine Poulos and Associates has announced Marisa Galiazzo as the organisation’s inaugural chief executive officer.
Ms Galiazzo – who was promoted from senior consultant to general manager last August to assist with the growth of the Sydney-based home care specialists – joined LPA in June 2023.
She has over 25 years of leadership experience in government and the not-for-profit roles across care sectors, and expertise in business process improvement, strategic planning, transition management, organisational design, and change implementation.
The CEO appointment is effective 20 January 2025 and follows Ms Galiazzo’s demonstrated commitment to driving excellence in the care sector, said LPA.
“With her extensive experience in home care, aged care, and NDIS consulting, Marisa has played a pivotal role in supporting providers across Australia in navigating complex reforms and delivering outstanding care,” the Sydney-based organisation said.
Ms Galiazzo said she was pleased to step into her new role and continuing the organisation’s focus on practical and meaningful support.
“Having worked closely with providers across the aged care sector, I know how complex and challenging the current landscape is,” Ms Galiazzo told Australian Ageing Agenda. “My priority is to ensure we continue to offer clear, useful guidance that helps organisations adapt, improve, and deliver quality care.”

As CEO, Ms Galiazzo will work closely with LPA managing director Lorraine Poulos – who founded the business 15 years ago and will remain involved in the team’s day-to-day operations and supporting the sector in 2025.
“Marisa brings great skills to the role and will ensure that we continue to support the sector during this significant reform that is happening in home care,” Ms Poulos told AAA.
Ms Galiazzo thanked Ms Poulos for her trust and ongoing support.
“I look forward to working with our wonderful team, clients and sector partners as we navigate the next phase of aged care reform together.”
