Merry Christmas from CCR

Wishing our readers and partners a safe and fun festive season and a happy and healthy 2025.

As we approach the end of the year, the team at Community Care Review and Australian Ageing Agenda would like to thank our readers and partners for their engagement and support over the last 12 months.

Just like last year and the one before, 2024 has been a big year for the aged care industry. And with the recent passing of Aged Care Bill 2024 – and new Act starting in just over six months’ time – we can all expect even more in 2025.

You can also expect our continued reporting on the ongoing aged care reforms as they are announced, implemented and responded to.

We’ll also keep you updated on our two-day Positive Ageing Summit, which takes place in Adelaide from 28 May 2025 and focuses on reablement, mental health and nutrition to help aged care leaders and changemakers translate the evidence on allied health and therapy into practice.

In the meantime, we invite you to read the November-December edition of AAA’s magazine, which is available free for a limited time in digital format.

We’d also like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year, and let you know the team is signing off shortly for a summer break. Our last regular newsletter for the year is Wednesday 18 December for AAA and 19 December for CCR.

But keep an eye on your inboxes for our special holiday newsletters until the regular ones return in the second half of January.

Our office will be closed after 20 December and reopening on 6 January, with the team returning soon after. Until then, have a safe festive season, hopefully a break – and a positive start to 2025.

Best wishes,

Natasha Egan, Jodie Wolf, Mark Ryu and Christopher Kelly.
