Inform aged care innovation tool

ARIIA is seeking feedback on the Readiness Assessment Tool being developed to help aged care providers implement innovative changes.

Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia is seeking feedback from aged care staff, consumers and researchers on a tool they’re developing for providers that aims to evaluate their readiness for implementing innovative changes.

The Readiness Assessment Tool also aims to identify areas where attention may be needed before implementation to enhance organisational readiness and support the ongoing sustainability of the innovation.

The second of two surveys is now open and seeking input on what should be included in the resource.

“People don’t have to have completed the Round 1 survey to participate in Round 2,” chief-investigator and ARIIA senior research fellow Dr Carol Davy told Australian Ageing Agenda

And for those who did, the research team still wants your feedback on the updated version, which reflects improvements informed by the previous recommendations.

The survey – which closes 31 October – is open to an individual meeting any of the following criteria:

  • community or residential aged care service recipient
  • family member or representative of someone accessing aged care services
  • over 12 months of experience working in or providing services to the aged care sector, also including for example, general pratitioners and allied health professionals
  • involved in aged care research.
