Altura Learning welcomes a new team member.
Altura Learning has announced the appointment of a new General Manager of Learning in Dr Roshmeen Azam.
As Altura Learning begins to expand, Dr Azam will guide the company in offering clinical leadership for both national and international distributed learning resources and play an essential part in driving the company’s evolution.
Maintenance of clinical standards in residential care and home care courses will be one of Dr Azam’s main priorities in her new role, plus presenting leading practice content, and the advancement of new non-accredited learning products across all territories.
CEO of Altura Learning Paul Goudie said that the company was “committed” to supporting the sector through the changes on the way.
“Roshmeen’s expertise will be instrumental in driving our future growth and ensuring our training content sets new industry standards,” said Mr Goudie.
“Her wealth of experience and deep commitment to enhancing care for ageing and vulnerable populations will be crucial in shaping the future of aged care education, especially as we navigate the current reforms.”
Dr Azam said that she is thrilled to be joining the team at this pivotal time for the aged care sector.
“The ongoing reforms present challenges and opportunities, and I’m excited to lead our efforts in adapting to the new framework,” Dr Azam said.
“As a physician, my passion for evidence-based healthcare finds its ideal application here, especially in the context of caring for older adults who often face complex health challenges. Altura’s innovative approach of combining evidence-based, real-world practice guidance with video demonstrations will be key in preparing the workforce for these changes.”
Adding: “We aim to equip healthcare workers with the practical, research-based strategies and confidence they need to improve health outcomes and provide high-quality, cost-effective care in the rapidly expanding aged care sector. I’m eager to contribute to Altura’s mission of setting new standards in aged care education and making a real difference in the lives of older adults.”
In her new role, Dr Azam will be responsible for representing Altura Learning, gathering insights and recognising opportunities that may arrive in production as well as increasing improvements within the education department on the team.
Assisting with commercial production will also be on her agenda, as well as leading and mentoring the team of Nurse Educators.
“Under Roshmeen’s leadership, we will continue to align our content to reflect new regulations and best practices, ensuring that aged care professionals are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care in this evolving landscape,” said Mr Goudie.
For more than 20 years Altura Learning, part of the Bolton Clarke Group, have been creating high-quality video courses for the care sector.
