Warrigal appoints two new directors
Professor Lorna Moxham’s and Daniel Rowan’s experience add to the capabilities of the board.

New South Wales regional aged care provider Warrigal has welcomed two non-executive directors to its board.
Beginning her tenure on 27 May, Professor Lorna Moxham has spent 44 years in the nursing profession, including 42 specialising in mental health.
Currently a professor of mental health nursing at the University of Wollongong, Professor Moxham brings to the Warrigal board extensive clinical and academic expertise.
Professor Moxham’s governance experience includes chairing a district health council and participating in various ministerial working parties.

Commencing his board term in October 2023, Daniel Rowan’s career encompasses management, mergers and acquisitions. Previously managing director of technology company Internetrix, Mr Rowan also has extensive knowledge of IT and digital transformation.
Mr Rowan’s governance experience includes board member for Regional Development Australia – Illawarra, and chairman of the Leadership Illawarra Program.
The addition of Professor Moxham and Mr Rowan marks a significant step forward for Warrigal at a time of change for the sector, said Warrigal CEO Jenni Hutchins.

“With these enhanced capabilities of our board we are better positioned to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities in the changing aged care sector. Lorna and Daniel’s appointments will bolster our board’s strengths and ensure Warrigal remains at the forefront of providing high-quality care.”
She added: “Their expertise and shared vision guide our purpose of creating inspiring communities so older people live their best lives on their terms.”
Warrigal also extends gratitude to non-executive director Margaret Collins who has served on its board since 1997, contributing greatly through her finance and business expertise. Ms Collins’ formal farewell takes place at Warrigal’s AGM in October.
