Carinity announces new CEO
Kevin Griffiths has worked for Uniting Church and the Aveo Group.
Queensland residential and home care care provider Carinity has appointed Kevin Griffiths as its new chief executive officer.
Mr Griffiths joins the not-for-profit, faith-based organisation following three decades working for overseas airlines. Since returning to Australia Mr Griffiths has worked for the Uniting Church and aged care and retirement living provider Aveo.
As well as offering aged care, Carinity – which is commemorating its 75th year – operates retirement villages and provides home care and disability support as well as youth and family services.
“From humble beginnings, Carinity has grown into a significant organisation touching the lives of thousands of people,” said Mr Griffiths.
Carinity council chair Richard Wray said Mr Griffiths has a passion for the impact the organisation makes on the people that it serves.
“He has a heart to work with and through people to achieve great things,” he said. “His personal faith, integrity, skills, and experience are a good fit with the unique requirements of the role. We are keen for him to lead an expansion of the impact Carinity has on people across the state.”
Mr Griffiths replaces David Angell, who – for the past 12 months or more – carried the role of Carinity’s interim CEO.
