Australian Multicultural Community Services has appointed Maryanne Tadic as its incoming chief executive officer.
Replacing Elizabeth Drozd – who retires in June – Ms Tadic joins AMCS as a senior executive with 20 years of experience in the community health sector.
Arriving from her most recent role at not-for-profit community health services provider Merri Health, Ms Tadic brings extensive knowledge of navigating a range of government reforms across various care and welfare sectors – including aged care.
Most recently, Ms Tadic led Merri Health through a major reform by developing a consortia model in Victoria with six other health and welfare agencies across the state.
Ms Tadic – who has attained a health sciences degree and a Master of Public Health – is a graduate of the Australia Institute of Company Directors and an associate fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Management. She also holds appointments with the North-West primary Health Network Community Council and La Trobe University’s Master of Public Health Advisory Committee.
On her CEO appointment, Ms Tadic said in a statement: “I am absolutely thrilled to lead an organisation such as AMCS through the next chapter of its journey, building on the exceptional legacy from the outgoing CEO Elizabeth Drozd, and the outstanding foundation built by an incredibly committed staff and board. I look forward to the exciting opportunities that present as we seek to lead AMCS through its next iteration.”
Chairperson Russell Howard welcomed Ms Tadic into the AMCS team while also acknowledging “the outstanding results” that Ms Drozd has achieved during her 20-year tenure.
Ms Drozd – who announced her plans to retire in March – was also recognised for her tireless and determined commitment to the community service sector in 2023 with the Medal of the Order of Australia.
“We thank Elizabeth for her dedicated service for over 20 years and we will enjoy the opportunities to work with her until her departure at the end of June,” Mr Howard said.
