Rebrand for provider celebrating 30 years

The name-change signals the expanded reach of the organisation.

A Northern Sydney community care provider has rebranded with a new look and a new name.

Formerly known as Community Care Northern Beaches, the care services provider is now known as Proveda. Its chief executive officer Karen Dawson said the name-change signalled both the expanded reach of the organisation as well as acknowledging its 30-year legacy as a trusted community care provider.

“While the Proveda name is new, our legacy has stood the test of time and will carry into the future as we help more people access the support they need when they need it,” she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, on LinkedIn, Ms Dawson said: “What a proud day! As we celebrate 30 years of community caring, I am also delighted to share that CCNB is now Proveda. I could not be more grateful to be a part of this amazing team, organisation and community.”

Since its establishment in 1994, the organisation has gone from providing aged care to the Northern Beaches community to today becoming one of Northern Sydney’s largest independent, not-for-profit, community-led organisations. In recent years, its aged care services have grown by 15 per cent.

Having merged with national organisations, including The Groundswell Project Australia, Proveda has been able to expand its service delivery to include disability and mental health support, volunteer support, end-of-life planning and other community-based programs across the country.

“Through our national and local services we now offer more opportunities for connection, compassion and holistic care to individuals and their families,” said Ms Dawson. “The impact we are making with our communities is bigger than ever, and our new name reflects this growth.”
