Hunter and Central Coast home care and disability group ADSSI has announced it will lift wages for all of its workers following the Fair Work Commission’s recent decision to increase award wages by 15 per cent for selective staff only.
The FWC ruling include includes direct care workers – nurses and personal care workers – and some non-direct care workers such as head chefs and cooks, and recreational activities officers.
ADSSI has taken it one step further and extended the increases to our disability support workers as well as ensuring equitable pay for all our support workers whether they are delivering services funded under the Home Care Packages or the Commonwealth Home Support Program,” said ADSSI chief executive offcier Jenni Allan.
She added: “This is something we are proud of and consider it an investment in the future of our already hard-working support workers team.”
ADSSI has also offered a wage increase to its allied health staff – including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and allied health assistants – who will receive a 10 per cent pay rise.
