
A webinar hosted by Vision Australia aims to help home care providers improve communications with clients with a vision condition.
The webinar is free and open to home care workers and communications and marketing staff working for providers delivering services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Among the topics covered:
- practical advice on implementing accessible communication techniques for websites, emails, social media and documents
- writing alternative text for images to ensure access for people with a vision condition
- video captions, transcripts, sign language versions, audio descriptions
- ensuring text and language are readable for all.
There are three online sessions available for May; each session is limited to 30 attendees.
The dates are:
- Monday 15 May – 1.30pm
- Wednesday 24 May – 10am
- Wednesday 31 May – 1.30pm
Participants are invited to select a preferred date via the registration page.
A Zoom link will be sent prior to the event.
Before the webinar, participants are required to undertake a one-hour on-demand introduction to a digital accessibility course.
