Ms Kemp has a background in customer centred care and workforce management and has held senior roles in both public and private health sector organisations over her career.

She has had substantial periods in management consulting in healthcare and related industries, including as CEO of aged care and disability start-up Newly which Benetas worked closely with.

In 2019 she was part of the Korda Mentha Recovery team which undertook a contract to support Central Adelaide Health Network (CALHN) in its restructure and financial recovery.

CEO Sandra Hills said Ms Kemp would help drive Benetas’ Next Generation Strategy to enhance customer service and transform the organisation’s understanding of their needs.

“Helen joined us in an interim capacity and following a competitive recruitment process we are very confident she will add tremendous value to our already capable executive leadership team and the broader organisation,” Ms Hills said.

She said Ms Kemp is already working with Benetas’ evolving Community Health and Care division to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and effective services.

Ms Kemp said she was delighted to lead the Benetas Community Health and Care division.

“Australia’s aged care sector is facing significant challenges across all services. This gives us the invaluable opportunity to really step up and provide next level care to our clients and their families,” she said.

“Over the past few weeks I’ve been able to work with the team to do just that. When it comes to home and community care, there is a great deal more for us to achieve and I look forward to working closely with the team to create a great service.”

Ms Kemp is trained nurse and holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts from Queensland University.
