Bolton Clarke senior strategist Matiu Bush, the brains behind the One Good Street social networking progam, took out the inaugural Rising Star Award. The organisation also recieved a team award for its client-focused approach to wellness and reablement.
Bush has been a driving force in the organisation and has also created other initiatives to combat loneliness in older people, change the way people with dementia are treated and engage communities in volunteering,
In accepting the award, he paid tribute to CEO Stephen Muggleton for “creating an enabling environment where innovation can flourish.”
Engaging the client
The Bolton Clarke Wellness and Reablement Team were recognised for providing an innovative model of care which actively engages the client and puts them at the centre of the planning process.
The awards, announced during a glittering dinner at the LASA Tri-State Conference in Albury on Monday night, recognise the achievements of organisations, teams and individuals from South Australia, the Northern Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.
They highlighted the dedication of an industry that was passionate about providing quality care, CEO Sean Rooney said.
“Our industry has countless passionate professionals, volunteers and organisations who don’t generally look for thanks or praise. It is their dedication and professionalism that make up the backbone of our industry,” he said.
The national awards will be presented at LASA’s national Congress in Adelaide in October.
