The Intermedia Group has announced Community Care Review editor Linda Belardi is moving on after more than five years with the organisation.
Ms Belardi started at the Intermedia Group in 2013 as Deputy Editor of Australian Ageing Agenda and was appointed editor of sister title Community Care Review in 2015 soon after the launch of the print and online publication.
Under her editorship, the publication has become a trusted and informative news source for the growing home care industry covering both community aged care and disability services.
Ms Belardi said she has enjoyed reporting on the industry during a time of historic change.
“I want to thank our loyal and engaged readers for their continued interaction with the magazine and news site and for generously sharing their time, feedback and ideas with us.
“I have greatly valued the opportunity to meet with providers and other aged care stakeholders from across the country to understand the pressing issues affecting the sector.
“Community Care Review has grown to reach over 4,000 subscribers highlighting the appetite for a dedicated publication examining the specific challenges and trends in home and community care,” Ms Belardi said.
AAA editor Natasha Egan said Ms Belardi would be missed by her colleagues.
“Linda has a wealth of knowledge on the aged care sector, a wonderful ability to grasp and explain complex information and issues simply and a knack for critical debate,” Ms Egan said.
“She is also an absolute pleasure to work with and we will miss her dearly. We wish her all the best in her new role.”
The Australian Ageing Agenda Group publisher Mark Kuban thanked Ms Belardi for her dedication in developing CCR into the influential publication it is today.
“We are looking forward to building on Linda’s contribution to Community Care Review and ensuring the publication remains a must read for all working in and around the industry.”
Ms Belardi’s last day as editor of Community Care Review is 6 July.
The Intermedia Group is currently recruiting for a new editor. More information on the full-time role, which is based at Intermedia’s offices in Glebe, Sydney, is available here.
