A new national resource has been launched for community service staff and individuals and families affected by hoarding and squalor.

The website, developed by Catholic Community Services NSW & ACT in partnership with Homelessness NSW and RSPCA NSW, provides a central point of information on hoarding and links to support groups and resources.

The resource was formally launched at the 4th National Hoarding and Squalor conference held last week in Sydney.

Individuals and service providers can find reliable and authoritative information on the prevalence of hoarding and squalor, causes, signs and symptoms and treatment information.

The website gathers together valuable resources including books and webinars by leading experts, information on workshops and training for staff and community service providers, as well as assessment tools.

A dedicated section is also devoted to the topics of animal hoarding and support for family and friends.

Service providers can also access a directory of related businesses providing cleaning, waste removal and pest control.
