The Department of Health has produced a series of short videos highlighting case studies of innovation and successful delivery of consumer directed care in the Home Care Packages Program.

The videos feature interviews with management, frontline staff and clients from a number of aged care providers including KinCare, Care Connect, Feros Care and Anglican Retirement Villages.

The three videos cover the topics of organisational culture change, innovation and brokerage services under a CDC approach, which was introduced across all home care packages from 1 July.

The department said the resources were produced to showcase cultural and organisational adjustments to business practices as part of implementing a CDC model in home care.

Transcripts are also available for community aged care providers to read and share across their organisations.

“Home care package providers will find case studies of organisations that have embraced cultural change and the derived benefits to this change,” the department said.
