The legal issues within CDC and understanding the RAS through a rural and regional perspective are just some of the topics to be put under the spotlight at the upcoming LASA Queensland Community Care Conference.

Titled Change. Challenge. Opportunity, the conference to be held on 7-8 September on the Gold Coast will provide a platform to discuss:

  • changes to industry business and finance models, programs and program financing and delivery, staff education and support, marketing and branding, technology and innovation and organisational culture .
  • challenges associated with the introduction of amended and/or new program manuals, policies, and budget announcement reforms.
  • opportunities to be explored and innovations to be developed in meeting the changes and challenges of a growing ageing population, burgeoning age services industry and ongoing reform agenda.

Speakers will include Louise Forster, manager innovation and business development, at Community West who will discuss supporting staff to embrace wellness; Ronda Held, manager of Home Care Today, COTA Australia on understanding the legal challenges within CDC; and Gavin Hudson, state manager of KinCare Queensland on self determination and navigating tricky CDC situations.

The LASA Queensland Community Care Conference 2015 takes place 7-8 September at Seaworld Resort on the Gold Coast.
